Q. What is an original graphic?
A. An original graphic is a process which describes or encompasses several hand-produced printing processes including hand-pulled lithography, serigraphy, etching, aquatint, and more. Each of these processes utilizes a different method of applying the ink to paper. Each, however, is similar in that each color represented in a image is applied individually, one color at a time, often using more than 100 colors in a single edition.
Q. What is meant by "hand-pulled"?
A. When printing, each sheet of paper is individually hand-fed into the press, registered for perfect alignment, printed and "hand-pulled" from the press and placed on a rack to dry.

A. Deluxe editions vary by artist and image. It may be printed on a different brand, texture or color of paper or on canvas. It may include hand drawing or coloring by the artist in the border or in the image of the print or on a separate sheet of paper.
Q. Why do some limited editions have two signatures while others have only one?
A. An offset lithograph is produced by photographing an original, then printing on a four-color offset press, and the original signature is reproduced on the finished image. The second signature on a signed and numbered edition is actually placed by the artist. An original graphic contains just one, the original signature placed when signing the original of the edition.

A. With very few exceptions, our products are shipped in tubes. Our tubes are constructed with walls which support a tremendous amount of weight and impact. Our shipping procedures provide the absolute best protection and security of the fine art contained within them. Pre-stretched canvas editions are shipped flat.
Q. What should I know about framing original graphics?
A. Talk to your framer about the use of museum quality or conservation materials. The use of acid free products and UV glass will preserve your image and keep the colors sparkling. Don't accept cheaper methods that will not preserve your investment.
