Joanne Kollman
Joanne Kollman's broad experiences range from commercial illustration to fine etchings and oil paintings. With 20 years of experience producing illustrations for magazines, children's books and commercial clients, along with original gallery art and graphics Joanne has established a lighthearted style and a unique eye for design.
In 2004 Joanne rediscovered the fine art of etching. She attended a workshop at Black Raven Press in Washington state, taught by master printmaker Richard Staffacher. With the ability to combine line, tone and color she has discovered a medium that brings out her fine eye for design and color while blending whimsy and humor with psychology as stylized domestic and sometimes anthropomorphic pets. Joanne's goal is t bring a thought or idea to it's simplest form. Her interest is in capturing the human spirit whether it is a formal portrait of improved draughtsmanship and composition whatever the medium.
