What makes Masterpiece Framing aka Newberg Gallery special—
Is it all the art? Is it all the molding and matting samples? Is it all the special matting and framing techniques we offer? Is it all the years of experience? Is it all the customers that keep talking about us? Well, I think it a bit of all of them and some I sure I haven’t thought of. But, I know the main reason Newberg Gallery is special, you. We want to do the best possible designs and framing for you. We want to carry only the best art and framing options. We are always trying to improve your experience. We make it FUN! But, I recently had a customer tell me I need to “Blow My Horn” about some of the less common things we can do here. So here goes:
French lines-lines that are hand-ruled on the face of a mat using an engineers ruling pen. Panels– a narrow to wide border that follows the mat opening and is colored with either pastels, watercolors, bookpapers, bordered by French lines and custom created to enhance the art. Hand-Painted Bevels-the bevel of the mat is painted to accent the art. French mat-a combination of French lines, panels and painted bevels. Hand-wrapped Fabric mats-This is a lux look that features mats covered in fabric chosen specifically for a specific artwork. The mat is sprayed with adhesive and the fabric is carefully adhered. This mat features a clean bevel that has the fabric wrapped over the bevel and does not show the cut edge of the mat. Gold leafed bevels and accents-hand applied leaf on either the bevel, panel or embellishments. Can also be applied to frames for accents or completely cover the frame, antiqued and toned for a truly custom look. Fillets-these are small wooding inserts that can line the opening of a mat or the inner lip of the frame. When combined with fabric-wrapped mats, lines or panels a truly one-of-a-kind framing is created. |
